Jim,

You know how it is, even when it's "done" there's still a few more things to
do to make it perfect. For some reason though, there always seems to be a
few more things! And yes, my wife does enjoy shopping...

Hi Jim,

I'm right there with you! My Elky's been on jackstands for over a month now
and I'm iching to put it back on the ground! To date, I've replaced the
front coils (again), replaced the front lower control arms, reinstalled my
tail pipes (finally), installed the new brakes, replaced all of the hard
brake lines to/from the master cylinder, got the new wheels and tires
mounted/balanced, and installed taller rear snubbers.

I still have to bleed the brakes (hopefully tonight), put tips on the
tailpipes, get new parking brake cables, and road test soon before it
frick'n snows! Then I will start a new "to do" list!

Hi gang,

Since the passing of the holidays, I have now jumped
back out in the garage in high gear. I keep telling
myself "90 days to Hooters nite", and I'm determined
to get my '66 painted by Spring. I still have quite a
bit of bodywork to complete first though-

Tonite it was 19 degrees outside, but that didn't stop
me one bit. I had the kerosene heater running full
blast, and I was in my glory welding up those holes
and fixing all those bad spots.

Just wanted to share my winter excitement with you

JD,

Yours looks like a show car compared to how mine was
when I brought it home... Mine had no windshield, no
tranny, no interior, no motor, mostly all chrome and
trim missing, the list goes on.. What DID it have?
It had all the other glass, and 9 mice living in the
frame (no possums though).

I have to figure out how to get pics off of the video
I took of it when I first brought it home.

The funny thing is, the list of things needing repair
is quickly growing smaller, and I'm almost a bit
depressed about it.. When I bought the car, I kept
looking at it and thinking about how great it will be
to get it back on the road one day- and now that it's
back on the road, the more I long for another heap of
rusted steel parts to breathe new life into..
