[Chevelle-list] seat question
I just listed some 1969 to 1972 bucket seats on Ebay. I don't know what they come out of and they have weird floor mount brackets any help appreciated. http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=250247947070&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=015 Thanks again Dave Ingersoll,Ontario My Web Site: http://members.tripod.com/benj30/
Re: [Chevelle-list] Seat question!
I know, but the previous owner had just added another seat cover on top of the old one, creating something that looks like an exclusive cheese in between :-( So I just figured that some air circulation too couldn't be wrong ;-) Pelle - Original Message - From: "Wayne Kline" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Sent: Tuesday, December 06, 2005 3:50 PM Subject: Re: [Chevelle-list] Seat question! it not a Mold Thing Pelle.. it's a wear thing. Re: [Chevelle-list] Seat Question
My seats set higher (floorboard to lower seat cushion) than the bench that was in the car and I assume the standard bucket seats, mine are high back buckets with head rests that came from a 99 Pontiac Grand Am, they look great in the car, don't get me wrong, I love them but I'm looking to lower them a bit, but it may be more of a chore than its worth, the drivers seat has power elevation and lowering, I don't need it but if my 5 foot girlfriend has to drive it she may. and the fact that I'm over 6 foot tall, I relocated the seat a little further back. the main reason I did this (besides my height) was I broke my right kneecap back in November so I can now get in with the seat all the way back and slide it forward to drive Bill Bradley 67 Malibu Edmond Oklahoma http://groups.msn.com/SpidrManspics/mycar.msnw http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/chevellerestoration/ to join: [EMAIL PROTECTED] - Original Message - From: "Dave Studly" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "The Chevelle Mailing List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, February 23, 2004 10:26 AM Subject: RE: [Chevelle-list] Seat Question > When you guys say the seats you swapped in are "too tall", what do you mean? > The seat cushion is too high off the floorboard or that the seatbacks are > just taller than the original buckets and it looks odd? just curious.. > > -Dave > > > -Original Message- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Bill Bradley > Sent: Monday, February 23, 2004 9:04 AM > To: Larry Williams; The Chevelle Mailing List > Subject: Re: [Chevelle-list] Seat Question > > > Larry > why not recondition the origional buckets? > i have buckets in my 67 from a 99 Grand Am (thanks to Dale for the idea) > altho they are also a little too tall IMO. > > Bill Bradley > 67 Malibu > Edmond Oklahoma > http://groups.msn.com/SpidrManspics/mycar.msnw > http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/chevellerestoration/ > to join: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > - Original Message - > From: "Larry Williams" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: "The Chevelle Mailing List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Monday, February 23, 2004 7:54 AM > Subject: [Chevelle-list] Seat Question > > > > My originial SS buckets were trashed, so I installed seats from a 80s > Buick. > > I really like the electric controls. When you guys say the seats you swapped in are "too tall", what do you mean? The seat cushion is too high off the floorboard or that the seatbacks are just taller than the original buckets and it looks odd? just curious.. -Dave -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Bill Bradley Sent: Monday, February 23, 2004 9:04 AM To: Larry Williams; The Chevelle Mailing List Subject: Re: [Chevelle-list] Seat Question Larry why not recondition the origional buckets? i have buckets in my 67 from a 99 Grand Am (thanks to Dale for the idea) altho they are also a little too tall IMO. [Chevelle-list] Seat Question
My originial SS buckets were trashed, so I installed seats from a 80s Buick. I really like the electric controls. My only complaint is that they are a little too high. The motor gear finally gave out, and I am considering finding other seats, possibly a power type. Any suggestions or observations. I still have the original seats on the shelf.
