Check your cooling system. Is there oil film in the radiator? Brown sludge
on you radiator cap? Beads of antifreeze on the dip stick? Will the system
hold pressure? All these may confirm a blown head gasket.

I think you should do a compression test first.  It might be a blown head
gasket.

plugs and shoot a little oil in the cyls and then crank it over-until i get
oil pressure.   i notice that cyls 3-5-6 squirt out a little anti-freeze,
not much maybe a tablespoon full.  during the season i do not notice the
coolant level drop or any white smoking- someone said i should reseal the
back 2- bolts on the intake?

on my elcamino small block when i first start it in the spring, i pull the 
plugs and shoot a little oil in the cyls and then crank it over-until i get 
oil pressure.   i notice that cyls 3-5-6 squirt out a little anti-freeze, 
not much maybe a tablespoon full.  during the season i do not notice the

that moisture sitting on the cylinder wall can cause problems also.
