RE: [Chevelle-List] 67 Chevelle Interior

2002-09-06 Thread Wayne

Rick

I just did the
interior in my 66. I bought the whole thing from Lutty's Chevy warehouse since
they are only about 25 minutesfrom where I live. Their line was PUI and I
an very satisfied with it. Some of the places to look would be Year One, Lutty's
Chevy Warehouse, Ground Up, Ausleys. The best advise I can offer you is take
your time, be patient and don't try to rush through it. There are some links at
chevelles.net in the tech section that will give you some more input and ways to
work through this. The next thing I want to do is my headliner which I have just
have not gotten around to installing it. The kit I bought did not have the
button inserts in the seatI have to transfer them over and did so with
great care and a lot making sure all the measurements matched up. I just took my
time and all turned out rather well.

Son 14 just got his first car, a 67 4 dr. Chevelle. I
am gathering information for the interior. Would like to keep it
original as it has 63,000 or so miles on it. We need some places to
inquire about restoring the seats. Thanks.

Wayne,
Thanks for the info. Yes patient's is the key word when
you are working with the interior. I redid a 72 Beetle for my daughter,
she wanted instant results but I took my time. You couldn't tell it was
not original when it was done, buttons and all. Thanks again

Hi
John

I looked on your
site, didn't see the seat covers there, sorry if I missed
them.
No mine is a two
door sport coupe.( 66-13617)
I honestly prefer
to support people from the list.

For those that
haven't dealt with John you will be totally satisfied.
I know I have
been.

The covers you
carry John, are they PUI?
That may be the
difference there if not.

  Unfortunately
there are no ready-made upholstery sets that I know of for
  4-doors.

  Wayne,
is yours a four-door? Also, it's odd that the seat buttons did not come with
the upholstery. They should. The ones I carry
  do.

RE: [Chevelle-List] 67 Chevelle Interior

2002-09-06 Thread John Nasta

Posted almost two hours ago and didn't seem to make it to the list. My
apologies if it appears twice...

Thanks Wayne,

I actually haven't gotten around to listing the seat upholstery on the web
site yet. We do have an account w/ PUI but so far have been selling seat
upholstery from Crown (except Buick, which we have a separate supplier for).
The issue of the buttons has come up before and the sets from Crown come
with the buttons.

I did just add sun visors for Chevelle, Cutlass, and GTO to the web site
(uploading now) because they seem to be popular lately. I have to add the
drop-downs so you can choose the color.

If you don't see what you want on the web site, please shoot me an email and
ask. We are adding to the database as quickly as possible but there are tens
of thousands of parts out there.

BTW we just added a new Camaro section and a new Nova section. Chevy/GMC
truck is on the way (you can find products by searching for truck, but the
categories have not been added to the menu yet because there is still lots
more stuff to list).

Thanks again for the recommendation,
John Nasta
