Re: [Chevelle-List] Info on "YesterYears"
Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List I am a member of YesterYears, a former member of NCOA. I think YesterYears is really dilluted, trying to serve too many masters, not nearly the tech stuff NCOA used to have. - To Unsubscribe please visit www.chevelles.net/list.html To start a new topic, send mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: [Chevelle-List] Info on "YesterYears"- Late Great Chevys
Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List I'm a member and have renewed. I like the older chevys and find the magazine interesting. I am considering going up to Vancouver this summer for their "International Convention". I'm hoping that I can do it in conjunction with the ACES Northwest Regionals. Anyone have a date for the regionals? I'm pretty sure that in the past its been sometime in August. rick On Sat, 2 Feb 2002 04:44:13 -0500 "Cecil \"Steve\" Martin" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> writes: > > Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List > > > > I spent a few hours now going over my recent finding of the combined > Chevy > clubs that would include YesterYears club that includes most of our > cars. > > Interesting combination of car club (including magazine) & parts > sales. RE: [Chevelle-List] Info on "YesterYears"
The Yesteryears (65-72) is part of the Late Great Chevrolet Association with Bowtie Chevy's (55-57) and Late Greats (58-64), a sort of a one-stop shopping that apparently excludes Camaros and Corvettes. While true that they "welcomed" the Chevelles from NCOA, they absorbed them as part of Late Great or Yesteryear (whichever is applicable). If you're an all Chevy enthusiast, it might be the place to be. Right now I'm not (although I've owned my share of 55-56-62-64 etc Chevy's) and I'll stick with Chevelles for a while. They have an International Headquarters (http://www.lategreatchevy.com/) and it appears as though their main claim to fame is selling parts. I'm sure they are a fine organization and maybe someday if I ever get my dream 56 Nomad... Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List For NCOA members who were "assimilated" into Late Great, I feel the same way about my recent Muscle Car Review magazine subscription. It was eaten up by Peterson Pubs and now instead of every other month Review, I get monthly Hot Rod. I just wish I had known ahead of time. Hot Rod is OK, but MCR gave me exactly what I was looking for. Yep, I was very disappointed in the lack of notice that they were taking over...also that they didn't offer to refund money to those who might not want to remain members of the club. I don't know anything about the Yesteryears club, but I may search it later tonite to see what I can find. I would have signed up for ACES, but they stop at 1972 (unlike Chevelles that go on til 1977 in name and 1987 in "descendants" body styles and frames). Kelly C. Hanna www.hannawoodworks.com
