Well, Herb I think you took a 66 Classic Elky (my favorite yr).
( I have 2 66's & 1 64 Elky) Don't like the 64 body style (wife's
Elky). You took it & changed so much it is not like the original
classic Elky anymore !

I think you should be ashamed, because what you really did was
take an Idol & turn it from a classic car into a

Masterpiece ! . Great Job Herb.

Awesome would be a good start:) I'm all for customizing cars, but when they are cobbled up, I'm out. Those weren't the worst I've seen, but certainly not my cup 'o' teathere are very few I'd leave bone stockand I can't afford any of 'em:(

I actually like them, the only thing I would do different on the second one is I would have made raised lettering instead of dying the carpet.  I'm also not too wild on the color of the interior or the car, but it suits it I think.  The race car is cool other than the funky pedels, but Kelly is right it is cheaper to do one up like that than to go back to stock, and some people like that look anyway (me I spotted a blue 65 in town the other day with big tubs, a wild rat, and a good interior with junkyard seats, simple but effective.)

F'n 'em up I'd sayhopefully those are just pedal covers...looks like a spill in the trunk of the second oneoops...no accounting for taste is there? Hey at least they're not lowriders or 4x4's:)

Maybe the arrows are so he'll know which way to push?
Fairly decent looking racer though.  I can tell him it's not a SS simply
from the VIN #13637.  Even the 65 SS V8 had a 138 VIN and the 65 SS 6-cyl
was 137.

If the first one is really an ex-drag car it would
certainly explain a lot. Cheaper to set it up like it
is than do a mostly correct restoration/restification.
Green Bay's only 2 hours from me...I wonder what the
reserve is.

As far as the second one goes, never let a furniture
store do auto upholstery. ;^)
