looks like i never had a cover on the car!!!
for over-spray it would probably work to protect your car

Jim,
I started using a nylon cover on the Chevelle when I put it in
storage at my parents place(heated). My biggest reason is the
occasional use as a table...but more importantly was the time my dad
remodeled a couple rooms and sprayed the baseboard heaters in the
garagewhite overspray on a black car...nuff said...plenty of elbow
grease to fix that

I got a car cover as an xmas present, and it seems to
be made of a blue nylon material. My car is always in
the garage, but I thought it might be nice to still
have a cover over, as folks going through my garage
always find a way to rub up against the car or want to
set things temporarily on top of it.

Does anyone have one of these covers, and if so, has
it been kind to your car's finish? Again the car sits
in the garage, so it's more for protection from the
HUMAN element rather than the weather..

Thanks in advance,

Jim

Thanks for the info Walt- And it didn't have any
effect on the finish of the car? I just wanted to
make sure I did my due diligence before throwing this
thing over my car and having it get all scratched up.

Again, it was a gift- so if people don't recommend
this type of cover, please tell me now.. I can always
use it over another car I have that's in primer! 8^]

Thanks,

Jim

Jim,
If the car were outdoors in the wind..I would say no...but as far
as a car sitting in a garage..no problems at all. I've been using it
for 5-6 yrs. It doesn't offer any protection if folks are dropping items
on the car or running into the side.
I usually leave a couple of my car wash towels on the trunk of the
car...that it where folks place items as they take off their shoes.

Jim -
I personally use a "Wolf" cover on my corvette - I've used it for 5 yrs with no problems - ALthough my car is also garaged, I feel that the heavier cover offers a little more protection - Most importantly the cover breathes -
