Re: [Chevelle-List] (no subject)

2002-02-18 Thread Mgreen671
Don,
Here is the info on the 327. The block casting # is 3892657 with an HC engine code. This means it could be out of a 1965 full size car or possibly a 67. The heads are casting # 3890462 which are 66-67 camel hump, no accessory holes, 64cc chamber. This engine comes complete from carb to pan, including all brackets and pulleys. The intake is a Edelbrock Torker II with a 750 vac. secondary Holley. I am also including a HEI dist. Here is the deal on the engine, I bought a 67 Chevelle about 4 months ago and this is the engine that was in the car. I will guarantee it runs and is pretty healthy. As far as how many miles I am not sure. But there is no knocks pings or oil usage. I would like to have $650 for this engine. If you are still interested let me know, because I will be in Cincy this upcoming weekend and I could bring it with me. If there is anything else you would like to know just ask.

 Thanks, Mark Green

GABE, I was reading some stuff and i came across that on the 69 you have to remove the heater and the defroster andsomeother crap. Then on the 71someone told me that they had to take off the fender. What all do i have to do. There is a box where the heater hoses go into. there are some screws that will take that box thing off. Will i have to mess with that?- Original Message - From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, November 30, 2001 7:17 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Chevelle-List] (no subject) The way to take your heather core out is from the inside. mailing list? I re-subscribed to the Chevelle List because the other lists I
subscribe to are slowly dying.(that, and I'm looking for another '69 El

Clint,

You ever sell your ZR-1 for anything close to what it's worth and you could
build a couple of serious Elky's!

I just posted a larger picture of the Baer's at
http://www.dalesplace.com/images/chevelle/more_pics/baer_front2.jpg. Wasn't
shooting those in particular, but when I get the car back from the engine
shop, I'll take some better ones and post 'em.

Someone in ACES has an awesome Black 70 SS Elky with LS6,six speed, and
billet 17 wheels. That car gives me a woodie.
If I can't buy my 68 back,I've been thinking about finding a nicely painted
69 SS Elky and building it similar to my old 68. However, this time I'm not
going to run 20 wheels on the back again but will mini-tub the back half so
I can run some 18x13's with 345/35/18 rubber. Baer has really slashed their
pricing on their Alcon stuff;i.e. front 14 rotors with six piston Alcon
calipers for less than $3500(normally over $6K). My ZR-1 is just too complex
for me,anymore, and El Caminos have always been my favorite car. As you
know,I sold my 40 Ford streetrod,57 Chev Nomad,and 68 Elky so I could afford
to keep the ZR-1 when the wife got sick. Really wish I would've kept the
Nomad Elky, instead. Oh well, you live and learn.
Thanks for letting me rant.
