[chromium-bugs] Issue 20081 in chromium: Crash when dragging a *.crx file on the new "New Tab" page
Comment #3 on issue 20081 by nick.nicholls: Crash when dragging a *.crx file on the new "New Tab" page http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=20081 I can also verify this issue. Currently the only way to install extensions without crashing is to navigate away from the "New Tab" page. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue. [chromium-bugs] Issue 20081 in chromium: Crash when dragging a *.crx file on the new "New Tab" page
Status: Unconfirmed Owner: Labels: Type-Bug Pri-2 OS-All Area-Misc New issue 20081 by forster.michael: Crash when dragging a *.crx file on the new "New Tab" page http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=20081 Chrome Version : 4.0.202.0 (Offizieller Build 23673) What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Open a new Chrome with --enable-extensions 2. Drag'n'drop a *.crx file on the "new tab" page (can be an empty file) What is the expected result? -> Chrome asks whether to install the extension What happens instead? -> Crash Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. This was only 90% reproducible. I got the impression that Chrome didn't crash when first installing an extension from a website (e. g. the RSS sample extension) and then in the same session dropping a *.crx file. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
