Re: [CinCV] Transferring cinelerra.org
Can't afford it. Looks like the .com .net .org names are going to be all squatted or taken, but it was just 1 project in a lifetime of others. - Original Message - From: Richard Baverstock Sent: 10/15/13 12:36 PM To: cinelerra@skolelinux.no, broadc...@earthling.net, cinelerra-ow...@skolelinux.no Subject: Re: Transferring cinelerra.org The http://cinelerra.org domain is about to expire, so I need to know who to transfer it to. [CinCV] Re: Lumiera Donations Questions
We too are in need of a laptop replacement. The 3 year old track pad is broken, the AC receptacle is broken, & the audio receptacles are broken. Most the software on cinelerra.org is still a copy of heroinewarrior.com. The chances of a donation actually turning into new software on cinelerra.org are actually greater if you donate to heroinewarrior.com. -- See Exclusive Videos: 10th Annual Young Hollywood Awards http://www.hollywoodlife.net/younghollywoodawards2008/
[CinCV] Re: opengl slow
Using NVIDIA-Linux-x86-169.12-pkg1.run on a Quadro FX 4400, processing 2k x 2k video, the hardware shading seems to be on. That wasn't the case with earlier 2007 drivers. You have to make sure all the OpenGL effects are last, the frame sizes are multiples of 4, & frames are smaller than the maximum texture size. -- Want an e-mail address like mine? [CinCVS] Can new projects survive without the Cinelerra trademark?
Based on the lack of enthusiasm for different names, we assume 2 different projects will share the Cinelerra trademark going forward. The next Heroine Virtual Ltd. release will be Cinelerra 4 to keep versioning chronological. Usually when we did rewrites in the past, the version numbers started over at 1, the name changed, and the value of the work was what moved people to the new rewrite. Is the value in the work really so limited that you have to call new projects Cinelerra and version 3? -- Want an e-mail address like mine? Get a free e-mail account today at www.mail.com!
