When you say it shut down, do you mean the master node crashed? Or stopped rendering? Or appeared to do nothing? Kevin

What version of libdv (looking at your backtrace makes me ask this question?) On what distro? I was able to render to quicktime package with the dv, h264, yuv2, and msmpeg4(DIVX) codecs using current svn(1018) when I tested the new SUSE packages yesterday. Kevin

It usually indicates some status of the jobs as they run. You may find that the render node is missing some installed dependencies or has another build related error. What version of cin are you running? How was it installed/setup? What are the configurations of the render node machines? (A working one? A failed one?) Kevin

Scott, would you include what codecs are being used in your project for input material? That determines loading and playing memory behavior. Without any swap, it will be impossible to tell if you really needed swap or not. (ie. You can't tell if your project would run faster without swap, because you can't check if it was never used.) You're long pauses suggest there may be a memory issue though. The advice to try 4G of swap would help to rule out memory exhaustion as the issue. (You can use swapon and swapoff to test.) Kevin

If you see something that needs updating you can certainly mention it here or in bugzilla. I noticed that the SUSE info doesn't contain new info, so I will update that shortly. If you mention what you need changed, one of us can certainly update it when we go in there. (And I assume you can be given access also...) Kevin

(automake --version) I had a report of this problem last night on irc, but wanted to see if anyone else saw it. The trouble is that the PPC commit broke the build for SUSE 9.0, so I was looking for something that would work on both. It appears this change won't do it. Thanks, Kevin
