[CinCVS] [Bug 371] [FEATURE REQUEST] Keyboard-based Trim/Nudge
http://bugs.cinelerra.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371 --- Comment #5 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2007-01-07 12:54 +2 --- By focus I mean the same as click to focus and focus follows mouse in window managers: The focused element receives keyboard input. Inside a web browser you can move focus between form elements by pressing Tab. Since Nudge is an input field (in Cinelerra 2.0, at least), the only shortcut needed is one that moves focus to nudge input field. The visual feedback will be obvious: A blinking cursor. Currently, the mouse does not have to stay over the Nudge input field while Nudge is edited.SAASS However, it could be neat with a faster way to make small Nudge adjustments, once Nudge has focus. http://bugs.cinelerra.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371 --- Comment #7 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2007-01-07 13:48 +2 --- Sorry about the confusion; I should have seen that this bug is not about nudge in the patchbay. This is about clips. Are you sure you want every _clip_ under the cursor to be extended? The affected edit points could be waaay outside the timeline window, depending on the zoom and the length of the clips. Would it not make more sense to affect _edit points_ under the cursor? And to reduce the risk of mistakes, and make navigation between edit points faster, Alt-arrowkey should be used to place the cursor. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.cinelerra.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. ___ Cinelerra mailing list Cinelerra@skolelinux.no https://init.linpro.no/mailman/skolelinux.no/listinfo/cinelerra

http://bugs.cinelerra.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371 --- Comment #8 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2007-01-07 18:48 +2 --- (In reply to comment #7) Are you sure you want every _clip_ under the cursor to be extended? The affected edit points could be waaay outside the timeline window, depending on the zoom and the length of the clips. Well, I figure you can just disarm the track of you don't want a certain clip to be affected. The main reason I want to have it affect every clip under the cursor on every armed track is that you can nudge forward a video clip while keeping things like titles, sound effects, etc. in sync with that clip rather than having to go back and adjust the other clips to be back in sync. Would it not make more sense to affect _edit points_ under the cursor? And to reduce the risk of mistakes, and make navigation between edit points faster, Alt-arrowkey should be used to place the cursor. That could work, too, although you would have to go and re-sync smaller clips like sound effects, titles, etc. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.cinelerra.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. ___ Cinelerra mailing list Cinelerra@skolelinux.no https://init.linpro.no/mailman/skolelinux.no/listinfo/cinelerra
