CISSP is used by big 5 consulting firms for credibility. I know about Cisco Security Specialist and the CCIE Security, but are there any others that are more widely recognized in the industry or any well know vendor independent security certifications. RE: Writing network script [7:10818]
Check out Net::Telnet::Cisco from cpan.org. See: http://search.cpan.org/search?dist=Net-Telnet-Cisco I set up a script for diagnostics (show run, sh tech, etc.) with tk gui one time. It would not be hard to set a script up to use getopt::Long instead of tk gui. Also checkout: http://search.cpan.org/search?dist=Cisco-Conf It can be used to manange configs like rcs for source code. The page has some examples. I hope that helps some. -Andrew Whelchel -Original Message- From: Larry Ogun-Banjo [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, July 03, 2001 10:29 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Writing network script [7:10818] All Can anyone give any advise (or provide links) on the processes required to write a network script. eg I'm trying to write a script from a central location to change the passwords on all the switches and routers OR unify the router/switch banners etc. I have a feeling it might be similar to using an NTP server for your clock but I'm not sure. Any assistance appreciated. new CCIP cert [7:7976]
Hey, does anyone know anything about the new CCIP cert. Is the BCSI exam anything like the BSCN? Just wondering if anyone had heard anything. I'm taking the BSCN in about a month, and the material looks similar enough where I could take the the BSCI the next day. Then again, if this is the case, why have a separate exam. Why not just use the BSCN as a requirement? I guess these are questions only Cisco can answer. -Andrew Whelchel CCNA, CCDA, HPUX HPCP MCSE Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=7976&t=7976 -- FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
