You can try this =


ip route z.z.z.z  
ip route w.w.w.w  

and deny access to z from x and w from y using access-list to serial
interface.

If you can provide with exact ip add of serial int and ethernet int, it w=
ould
have been better.

Try this because I am not very sure.

Dear Hans,

You need to change the subnet mask of the hosts to 255.255.252.0 and even=
 the
mask of the router should also have the same subnet mask.

Now, you are not able to ping the interface from your host pc because you=
 are
in a different network.

Try changing the subnet mask of pcs and router ethernet int to 255.255.25=
2.0
your problem will be resolved.

As far as I know, we use registered addresses only if we are directly
connected to internet.

Else there should be no problem to use un registered ip addresses for you=

private network.

erased flash

I recently was configuring ISDN on 1750 router.  But accidently I have gi=

#erase flash command from the prompt.  And once I rebooted the router I g=

the message "not able to find some number" and "not able to locate file f=

and I am getting rommon 1> prompt.  Pls let me know how do I restore my r=

1705 router ios software

Dear all,

This is in connection to my previous mail with subject Erased Flash.

I am very much thankful to all of you for giving me various methods of so=
lving
the problem, but my main problem is I do not have the IOS to load it from=
 tftp
or to load through xmodem from rommon prompt.

Pls let me know where will I get the IOS from the website so that I can
download the IOS and load it.
