RE: Cisco Dial-up and NT RAS [7:28079]

2001-12-04 Thread Jagan Krishnaraj

For dial-out from any of the workstation (windows 95&98 and NT)
using modem in Cisco Ras you can get software from tacticalsoftware.com

For dial-in use Radius server and IAS service in Windows 2000 Server.

This radius server in Windows 2000 uses native user domain login database.

MPLS implemention at backbone and client connect [7:28655]

2001-12-10 Thread Jagan Krishnaraj

Dear All

I am currently involved in providing intranet solution to my client. The
situation is like this, 40 remote locations want to connect to Head Office.
Bandwidth required is 64 Kbps.

Initially ISDN is the preferred choice but client prefers permanent online
solutions.

One Telco service provider claims that they are using MPLS (Cisco Powered
Network) at his back bone, which enable substantial saving to the clients.
All the remote sites are able to connect to the central site via the service
provider's MPLS cloud. Each remote site site is connected to the MPLS cloud
directly and the central site is connected to the MPLS cloud via a huge pipe.

64kbps
remote site - |--|
64kbps| | 2Mbps

I've the following concerns which need your advise:
scaleable
reliable
secure
flexibility

Do you know of any service provider providing similar services?

jagan

Given some config-register value cannot goto conso [7:55791]

2002-10-17 Thread Jagan Krishnaraj
Hi Friends

In my mc3810 router I changed config-register value to some thing.
After rebooting, in the hyper terminal console I did not get even a single
character. Then tried to find the baud rate. Its 1200.

But after setting to this baud rate 1200 I can see only junk characters in
the console.

Router is working fine. I can ping the interfaces. BGP and OSPF is
working fine.

Because I did not set enable password I cannot enter the enable mode through
AUX port.

Friends please help me.

thanks in advance

Hi Richard

I too tried this. No results.

But when I applied acl on the outside interface and tried to do port
scanning, logs showed denied access for a list of ports.
Is this correct procedure to identify port scans on PIX.

If this is not the correct procedure let me know how to identify port scans
on PIX.

thanks
