That is not the supernet because 172.16.2.0 does not have a common bit place
in 172.16.1.0/22. I believe that this would be superneted to 172.16.0.0/16.
This is where I see them all matching up that is. It would be real hard for
me to explain this so I'll let someone else do that who is more experienced
with this. Hope I helped a little.

It's not easy to compare EIGRP and OSPF. Since OSPF is a link-state
protocol, it advertises links and their states, not routes. OSPF is quiet
(except for neighbor hellos) unless a change in link state occurs, as you
probably know.

EIGRP advertises vectors of distances to remote networks. Unlike RIP and
IGRP, which also advertise vectors of distances, EIGRP updates are sent
only when there's a change. The updates include only routes that have
changed, rather than every entry in the route table. The updates are sent
only to affected routers. So in those ways, EIGRP is quite different from
RIP or IGRP.

Please send questions to the group, not me. There are some major EIGRP and
OSPF gurus on the group. Plus, if you are wondering about something,
probably somebody else is too.
