Cisco VPN Client [7:12828]

2001-07-18 Thread Jose Villatoro

Greetings,

Has anyone successfully used the Cisco VPN CLient v1.0a when the end hosts
are both sitting behind firewalls (on separate networks). One network is
behind a PIX 520; the other is behind Watch Guard firewall. I though I read
somewhere that this client only works between Cisco hardware. Can anyone
correct my ignorance and\or elaborate on how this is done?

TIA,

Jose Villatoro

I can vouge for www.intenseschool.com I
attended their CCNA/CCDA camp and also their CCNP camp. I came out of it
with all of the certifications I wanted. Their program is cool because the
class, training material, hotel, and dinner were taken care of as the total
package (at least at the ones I attended). The CCNP camp will beat on you
mentally but I figure that is the reason why I was there. They don't teach
towards the test, but teach you to understand hands on, which will help you
pass the test. Now I have a new job that pays well because of these
certifications. Now I'm well on my way to getting my CCIE. No I'm not
advertising for them but I had a great experience and I owe everyone ar
www.intenseschool.com a lot.

RE: VPN to PIX using Win2000 or Millennium?? [7:16452]

2001-08-20 Thread Jose Villatoro

Hi Mike,

Are there any references out there on the net on setting this up? Our PIX
IOS version is 5.0. I've been using the VPN Client v1.0.a succesfully, but
it's not Win2K compatible.

Thanks,

Jose Villatoro

I have PPTP running fine with Win2K. I had it working
on 5.3 and am now running 6.1. I recently upgraded to
DES but haven't tried using IPSec.
