If more than 1 tacacs server is defined in a config what would happen if The user dosen't authenticate, it will NOT contact the second server correct? The only reason to have a second server assigned is if the first one is not responding, in which case the config would allow for use of the second server. Also Authentication must take place before anything can happen. I know I some of these questions are basic, I just want to verify and see if I am misunderstanding something. 3640 Access Router - Dial in and configure
3640 with 2 T1 Controllers, and 48 Modems. Can I configure a username to allow use of one of the 48 modems to connect to this box and access the IOS like an AUX connection?? OR is the only way in is to have a modem connected to the AUX and an anaolg line connected to the modem? It would be nice to allow access to the router through one of the T-1 Modems. -- Bug? OT: Life expectancy of Fiber Optic Cable
I have been in a discussion with a telco about fiber backbones, and they heard something about the life expectancy of a fiber cable. I have reviewed the manufacturers specs, and I can't find any mention of this. Has anyone heard anything about this?? TIA -- According to my calculations the problem doesn't exist. -- Mike Delp Director of Technical Services Database Computer Group, Inc.
