Communication between two subnets [7:10971]

2001-07-04 Thread Ranjit Sabherwal

I have two networks 192.168.10.0 and 192.168.20.0. I am communicating
between them using Cisco 1-arm Router having secondary ip. Now, when i go to
Network Neighbourhood, I am unable to see the name of PC's of other Network,
although I am been able to Ping.
Is this because of NETBIOS ???
Please Help as this is the same scenario of MULTI-VLAN.

Thanks to all.

password recovery method!!! [7:11660]

2001-07-10 Thread Ranjit Sabherwal

I want to know two things: -

1). Is there any good site to learn about configuring router. I don't mean
theoretically wise, but having more hands-on practice on routers
practically. I there are, then what are they?

2). Second question is that while going to priveleged mode from user mode, u
need to enter the password. Suppose u forget the password, then is there any
way of recovering it? If no, then how to enter the priveleged mode?
Please enlighten me on these issues.

2001-07-11 Thread Ranjit Sabherwal

My customer wants to implement VPN over Internet between 4 offices, namely;
Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore and Bombay. He wants a very very secured network.
I want to know as to what all things are required for secured implementation
of VPN and why. In other words, i want a full VPN solution. The customer
wants that there should be proper tunneling between its offices so that the
data is secured. What all VPN devices are required and where should they be
installed(Consider that Delhi is the head office) Kindly enlighten me on
this issue ASAP as i have to give the solution as early as possible. I went
