Re: BCMSN: Question About Flow Masks

2001-01-22 Thread Shabbir S. Talib

Take it like this

There are three types of flow mask.
1) destination-IP (least specific)
2) source-destination-ip
3) ip-flow (most specific)

for example, destination-ip is in effect on RP-ONE connected to
MLS-SE-MAIN, RP-TWO is later connected to MLS-SE-MAIN. RP-TWO has the
source-destination-ip flow mask set. In this case MLS-SE-MAIN will
switch the flow-mask to source-destination-ip flow mask.

In other words if an MLS-SE is connected to two Route Processors and
they have different flow masks enabled. The most restrictive flow mask
will be used on MLS-SE.

My guess is there is an errata in the course notes. Which book is this?

Re: Disappointed with ccnp!!

2001-01-09 Thread Shabbir S. Talib

My 2 cents...try looking out of the San Francisco market. Also,
just a CCNP cert. at entry level is not enough. An additional A+, SCSA,
CNA, MCP will help.

Good Luck

Re: BCMSN Questions - Pls Help

2001-01-03 Thread Shabbir S. Talib

Giggsy

If, your 1st question comes from the BCMSN book. Then the question only
says large files not large graphic files. Also, if you read the section
choosing cisco products in the 1st chapter where this question is from,
you will see it recommends the 1900 series switch for a 50-user LAN. So
answer C is right.
