Re: ACRC

2000-05-31 Thread The Raven

ACRC is quite hard. 72 questions, 90 min, 790 to pass.
There're about 12 'fill in the blank' questions. The
area to concentrate on would be OSPF, EIGRP. Nothing
on AppleTalk. Barely passed last week with 805. I did
not use any book or attended any class. Only used some
notes found on the net and some demo mock exam from
Boson and Syngress.

Good luck in your endevour to better yourself and your
careeer. (Despite some recent negative comments about
paper CCNP vesus experience).

RE: CCNP and chances of finding a job

2000-05-25 Thread The Raven

Dollard,

You've got a point. I think everyone on the list would
agree that nothing can buy experience. It's
invaluable. But how do you expect one to get
experience when your job is limited to network &
desktop support with an ocassional router install? Do
you expect us all to get Cisco to employ us & give us
the experience? It's a catch-22. Employers only want
experienced people but not willing to give potential
employees with paper CCNA, CCNP, for example, a chance
to get that valuable experience. I guess that makes
privileged people like yourself more invaluable and
your job more secured.

RE: Free Cisco T-Shirt

2000-05-13 Thread The Raven

This is related to Cisco, it's a Cisco T-shirt we're
talking about! Cisco controls the whole world's router
market. So why can't they send free T-shirts around
the world but only US & Canada? It's because it's
cheaper to send to US & Canada only. Cheap skates.
