Yes, but cost is a major issue for most people. They can't go out and buy a switch and 3 routers for a home lab. What is the main difference between Cisco Routers and Nortel/Bay Networks Routers? Commands, etc? I've never had much experience with Nortel and have a need and just trying to find information. Sprint Layoff [7:74354]
Hi Group: Well, not sure if this would be an email that I should send or not. I have been laid off at Sprint in KC about 2 months ago. I never have went to get my Cisco certification but am working on getting my CCNA before the test (640-607) is discontinued. I worked in the Router group at Sprint LDD (Long Distance Division). I installed, configured and troubleshot all Cisco Router issues. I worked with 2500, 3500, 7500 series routers. I have been contracted the last couple months with Time Warner Cable working in IP department in Kansas City, Missouri but it was only a 2 month contact and last Friday was my last day. I am looking for a new position. If anybody has any good ideas in Kansas City, Springfield or St. Louis, Missouri I would welcome the opportunity or even Columbia, Missouri. Hi Group: I am new to the list and have been reading some of the posts. I have a question. I am pursuing my CCNA and have been thinking about putting together a practice lab. I have used the router stimulators but wanted to know if any of you out there have a practice lab and what your recommendations are on the routers, switches, etc. I would appreciate any help you could give me. Also, not really wanting to buy brand new Cisco routers just something I could get by with. Cost is an issue here.
