Re: How to Get Router IOS Back [7:31168]
Try using tftpdnld command from ROMMON Ziyaad - Original Message - From: Jeff To: Sent: Tuesday, January 08, 2002 3:53 AM Subject: RE: How to Get Router IOS Back [7:31168] Not necessarily. I believe that if you break yourself into rmmon, you can still use your ethernet port reguardless of IOS. Make sure the switch port is on portfast. I don't recall the exact proceedure to do it, but if theres a call for it, I'll go find a router and break the network -Jeff On Mon, 7 Jan 2002, s vermill wrote: Since your ethernet port is down, tftp distater recovery is out. The xmodem option is fine, but I would recommend setting the console speed to 115200 or you will be there a while. If that isn't possible, you may as well get started. I have done this in the past and always used 'xmodem -y filename.' Then from Hyperterminal, do a transfer send file protocol ymodem I think it will take a couple of hours at 9600.
