OT: Apology [7:19924]
Members, I would like to express my sincere apology for referring to Cisco as a religion on this list in a post a couple of days earlier. It appears that I have offended some list members and that was not my intention. I really do NOT think Cisco is a religion. I was only trying to make the point that religion is a discussion better talked about in a different forum than this list. I repeat, I do NOT believe that Cisco or networking is a religion and I apologize for even making the reference. Please forgive me. I also want to express my condolences for the events that happened this week in New York and Washington. I served time in the US Military and currently live in Japan. I have strong American Pride and am proud to have served in the US Military. Is sickens me to see what the enemy has done to my country. I had to explain to my five year old daughter and seven year old son why their private American school was closed this week. (it is located close to the US base in Okinawa and everything is closed down because of the threatcon delta order) My son said to me "I know why daddy. It is because America's house is broken". It really saddens me that my children who have never lived in the US are getting most of their first hand US experience from watching the news of this tradgedy. RE: Apology RE: US Stock [7:19433]
Unfortunately, I can't offer the same apology that John does. My response was meant to (and did) indicate that blaming this tragedy on "sin in the world" is almost worse than diminishing its magnitude through impudence. Indeed, put yourself or your child or your spouse on that plane or in one of those buildings, and tell them that there is an all-powerful and all-loving God that could stop this, but didn't. Talk about adding insult to injury. And now back to our regularly scheduled mail list. -Original Message- From: John Neiberger [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, September 12, 2001 11:53 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Apology RE: US Stock [7:19433] If you've perceived my comments that way then I apologize wholeheartedly. RE: Apology RE: US Stock [7:19433]
I understand completely. I haven't dealt with it yet, either. I'm still in the "Maybe I'll wake up tomorrow and find out it didn't really happen" phase. I was already stressed out enough with other things that all seem so insignificant now, but I'm just not able to process all that happened yesterday so quickly. At one point I had to stop watching TV last night and just go immerse myself in an adventure game that completely took my mind off of current events for at least a few minutes. I think I was pretty close to my maximum stress level and needed a brief release. That also partially explains my attempts at humor. When I get *really* stressed my sense of humor tends to kick in inappropriately in an attempt to deal with whatever is occurring. It's difficult to work right now. I feel like I'm just sitting in a haze and my brain is all cloudy. I'm sure many people are feeling like this right now, even moreso the ones who are directly affected. I think the goodness of people on this list is helping all of us digest recent events, and the fact that we're all in this together and supporting each other will help the healing process begin perhaps a little sooner. Hey I just talked to a buddy that just got back from their last class. He said that the camp was awesome and that it ran for over 16 hours everyday for 16 days. He also said that the instructor was a double CCIE that was knowledgeable, patient, and easy to work with. My buddy described it as more of a CCIE lab type training than a CCNP class, echoing your thought about not just covering the esoteric test facts but providing excellent hands-on labs, covering all the phy stuff including modem to modem connections with a tone generator, ISDN, all flavors of serial, and ATM. Of course all the major protocol stuff (RIP, the GRP's, OSPF, IS-IS, AND OF COURSE BGP) including multiple area and AS labs, mutual redistribution, policy based, extended lists both IP and IPX, traffic shaping, DDR, Dial-Backup and the list went on. Another issue; I'm am under the impression that this list is moderated so if it got through anybody can comment on it. So why don't y'all grow some hair and give the moderators an ear full not Jeremy. You receive a message that looks like this: -Original Message- From: Ron Rubens [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, August 14, 2001 10:13 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: MCSE in 2 Weeks or CCNA/CCDA in 6 days ** Get your MCSE in 2 Weeks or CCNA / CCDA in 6 days for the lowest price ever. We are blowing out the last seats in our August and September classes. CALL NOW! (800) 330-1446 www.intenseschool.com ** And you think it's from groupstudy? You must really think people on this list are stupid. I think you owe the entire group an apology for your latest "directions" for those that commented about you spamming the list. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Wright, Jeremy Sent: Tuesday, August 14, 2001 1:34 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE:Apology for: MCSE in 2 Weeks or CCNA/CCDA in 6 days [7:16076] I received this message about the bootcamp in my personal email and thought it was from the cisco groupstudy list. So I responded with my comments about the camp to the list, my mistake. Everyone who responded is so uptight. like I said, my internet mail was down... further reading and now I see this post. I wouldn't have sent my last post if I had read this one first. Anyway, hope this thread is now dead. Folks, I have taken other peoples points of view into account... You all have my unreserved apology for my earlier comments, which were inappropiate. Kind Regards, Peter. Re: Apology [7:732]
Dale, No appology necessary. Your mail bounced in the moderators queue because it contained xxx. My guess is I approved it twice by mistake. Hey I am trying to get rid of the spam and I assumed XXX would be a good keyword. I apoogize for the multiple posts on my ospf question. dale Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=732&t=732 -- FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Apology
I apologize to the group for posting to the wrong list. I actually went to http:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/list/jobs.html and clicked where it said "Send an e-mail message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]" It opened up a blank email and I just typed away without noticing that address it had was the study list rather than the jobs list. Sorry. Dave Swink **NOTE: New CCNA/CCDA List has been formed. E-leaning/apology
I've recieved several E-mails asking about the name and pass for: http://weblearning.cisco.com/portal/index.htm I ended up there after several hours of lazy surfing, and have not been able to re-trace my steps yet. As soon as I do, I will post a new link/directions on how to get in.
