RE: CCNA Exam vs. BSCN Exam? [7:49829]
Yes, it is focused on EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP. I just took it a couple of weeks ago for a client commitment and it didn't stray from those topics (at least on my exam). No, CCNA is very easy compared CCNP except the CCNP(switching), remaining are not harder than CCNA, requires indepth study ,,, Sunil Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7i=49848t=49829 -- FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
BSCN exam [7:32986]
Hi All, Has anyone taken this exam lately, if so, what topics were targeted a lot. Did you have to type the cmd a lot or was it more multiple choice. I hope this doesn't break the NDA... Cheers! It had EIGRP, OSPF (single and multiple areas), BGP, IP addressing, optimization, and scalability questions. RE: BSCN exam [7:32986]
I just took it last weekend. Like John Allhiser says a lot of EIGRP, OSPF, BGP IP address summarization. Not much typing of commands but mostly picking the right command from a list of 60 to 70 commands in an exhibit. I used the Cisco Press and ExamCram books. Generally the Cisco Press Exam Certification Guide series do a very good job of addressing test objectives. Good luck. -Serge. RE: BSCN Exam :( [7:32267]
I just passed it this weekend. My trick was to REALLY know EIGRP and OSPF since I am most likely to use those in my clients' networks, but then learn just enough BGP so I could at least eliminate one or two of the answers... Hopefull the 3rd time will be a charm! Good luck. -Serge. Nuurul Basar Mohd Baki wrote: Hai, Just take the BSCN Exam for the second time, sadly still fail. Lots off BGP, EIGRP and OSPF. Try getting the Boson exams for the BSCN and do better than 90 percent, plus read the exam cram for the BSCN before you take the test. Good luck. Passed Routing 2.0 today, thanks in part to info I got from the questions on this site. If your prepping for this; know BGP and EIGRP theory focus on the syntax of the set and show commands. You need to know the command syntax and also the console prompt it should be entered from. You should also be familiar with interpreting the effects of such commands when presented with a few lines of config Good luck. Re: BSCN exam
Does anyone have some more detailed information about the BSCN exam? it seems to be really different from that ACRC exam but how much? What are the number of question, passing score, are there lots of fill in questions, what do it focuse on ? The passing score is 690 and you have 61 questions, if I remember correctly. They are all multiple choice. You do not have to type in commands any more, as in the ACRC test. The exam focuses on VLSM, CIDR, OSPF (single and multi-area), E-IGRP, BGP (internal and external, plus scalability features), route redistribution and policy-based routing. Be familiar with the theory and configuration commands for the above topics as they are guaranteed to turn up on the test. Know OSPF, E-IGRP and BGP route summarisation, know how these protocols function (in detail) and make sure that you are quite familiar with their algorithms and how they calculate network reachability. Know BGP *thoroughly*. There are many questions about it and you need to know how it works in great depth. Know all the path attributes and the ways in which BGP routers communicate with one another. I can't stress all this enough. The exam is substantially different from ACRC. You have to know all about how these scalable routing protocols work, as well as how distance vector protocols function. There are the odd few questions about those, too. BGP is probably the most significant difference between the Routing 2.0 exam and the old ACRC test. -- Edward Solomon CCNA, CCSI Senior I/T Specialist Networking Solutions IBM Canada Ltd. - Learning Services Tel.: (905) 316-3241 Fax: (905) 316-3101 E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Internet: http://www.can.ibm.com/services/learning/net_internet.html ___ UPDATED Posting Guidelines: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/guide.html FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
