CCIE Voice [7:65478]

2003-03-14 Thread CCIE #6746
Anyone out there pursuing the CCIE Voice ? I have most of the equipment in
my lab and getting what I don't, looking for someone serious about passing
the lab when it goes live later this year. I am located in Central Ohio and
can also provide VPN access as well. Let me know, if there is enough
interest maybe we can even setup a mail alias devoted to it.

Courses for CCIE: voice, atm, or security?

2000-10-24 Thread Jennifer Mellone

I'm doing the CCNP track now for the next 6 months, but I'm looking ahead.
Assuming you've already had the usual ACRC/BSCN, CLSC/BCMSN, etc. which
course(s) would you take within the next 6 months if you wanted to get CCIE
in the future after completing CCNP:
cvoice, catm, or mscn? or perhaps something else? Just want to strategically
plan out a training plan with my company.

CCIE voice written and lab [7:66948]

2003-04-05 Thread supernet
Hi,

I have 3 questions regarding CCIE voice:

1. I took beta written test today and was told that I can expect a
result in 6-8 weeks. Does it really take that long? How do they contact
me? I only provided my SSN and name before the test.

2. If I go take the lab test, I know I'll get a Cisco Documentation CD.
But do I have access to Internet?

3. Will they give beta lab test before regular lab test?

Thank you,
Yoshi

I would take Andrew Caslows course at ARS.

2000-10-24 Thread Sam LI

for the ccnp, you can study the book of the ccnp series. However, the ccie
is talking about
you skill to configure the routers/switches/atm, if you want to get this
kind of skill,
work in the field

2003-04-05 Thread Mic shoeps
Sorry I don't have an answer for you, just a question.
How was the written exam? Was it mostly protocols remembering, or was it
more of a CCNP level questions (configurations, troubleshootings, etc.)?
Would you say the exam was tougher than you anticipated (CCIE R&S level)?

Regards

Yes, it usually does take that long. They will mail you the results using
whatever mailing address you used to register with Prometric/Vue.

No, otherwise I'm sure you can understand the kind of cheating door you're
opening. For example, you might end up in an Internet chat session or be
sending hotmail/yahoomail to a friend of yours. Or heck, you might just
copy the test questions word-for-word and then email it to yourself.

I believe those slots are only open to a very select few, like internal
employees.

Re: CCIE voice written and lab [7:66948]

2003-04-06 Thread Vance Krier
I took the beta exam and was quite surprised how easy it was. I didn't
study because I wanted to just take it to get a feel for if it was a
realistic test or not. I probably didn't pass it, but I wouldn't be
completely surprised if I did pass it. If not, I will pass it next time as
it is an extremely passable test.

I'd say it is mostly a hybrid test comprised of the material covered in
dqos, cipt, cvoice, unity, and evodd, with some basic ccnp/ccdp level stuff.

Nothing earth shattering, at least not in the beta.

Cheers,
Vance
