Yes, the written exam is going to be changed to a jury based oral
examination. You will be seated in a wooden chair in the middle of a large,
cold room. Bright lights will be pointed at your face. Then, a group of 6 to
8 Cisco engineers will begin to ask you questions about the technologies
covered in the CCIE blue print. Each time you miss a question you will be
lanced with hot pokers.

If you pass the oral exam, they will tie you to the chair, carry you out the
back door, and throw you in the river to see if you float. If you don't
float, you were a CCIE lab candidate. If you do float, you are a witch and
will be burned at the stake.

This new process should cut down considerably on the lab backlog...

Z

Seriously, check the cisco web site, under CCIE Program, What's New, for
updates about the exam and its contents. Don't go on hearsay...

Re: CCIE RS Going to be Replaced..!!

2001-02-12 Thread Nathan

Routing and Switching - The two key components of internetworking will not be
"replaced". The RS exam evolves and grows with the technology. As older technologies
grow obsolete, they are removed from the exam and replaced with newer things, but you
still have to route and switch these protocols, just maybe a little differently. They
may make some changes to reduce the back log for the RS exam, and I just hope they
don't make a quick solution by opening up more lab locations because it just gives
these
guys that need to take the lab 5-6 times (and I know some) a chance to fudge their way
through it easier and faster.
