Re: CCNP Study guides??? [7:69493]
For the routing and switching exams I read both the Sybex and Cisco press books and found the Cisco press books to be better on both occasions. That said I've also heard people whose opinions I respect vouch for Sybex so I suppose it's a matter of what works for you! Dave Jacoby wrote: From what I understand, the Sybex books for the CCNP are not as good as the Cisco Press books. I used the Cisco Press books and just passed my last exam last week. Dave Lyons John wrote in message news:[EMAIL PROTECTED] There is a study guide on Bookpool CCNP Study Guide Kit (Exams #640-901,640-604, 640-605, 640-606) ..Could someone tell me if this would be useful to use...or does someone have other books or resources to get started... Re: CCNP Study guides? [7:6772]
go for the cisco press book if your objective is to pass the exams early. The exam questins are compiled from the these books, so better read them in between the lines too. thanks Suresh MCSE+I,CNE,CCSA,CLS,SCSA,CCSA,MCNS,CCNP,CCIE(Written) http://www.sureshhomepage.com Hi All Any suggestions on CCNP- Switching study guides? FW: CCNP Study Guides
Well this is interesting the Cisco Trade books all are coming with cds but the routing boot is not out yet from Cisco Trade isbn#1587200015 due January 2001 the book someone was talking about earlier what published by Macmillan Technical Publishing and it did do not come with a cd. So to answer your question, NO this book with this isbn#1578702283 does not come with a cd but if you get the Cisco Trade books not the Macmillan Technical Publishing they all are coming with CDs. I have put all the isbn #'s here for you to reference and until Cisco gets their Cisco Press web site back up i am unable to find the Cisco Trade for the Support exam but i find it odd that Macmillan Technical Publishing puts out a cd for the Support exam and not one for the routing exam go figure Switching:158727 Routing:1587200015 Remote:1587200031 Support:0735709955 (this is not Cisco Trade this is Macmillan Technical Publishing that comes with a cd) check this site out there is three pages of books. http://shop.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/results.asp?userid=1NM0G4OVOEmscs sid=V1G0DPM4PHEQ9GFMSRPSW1BEQQ07EG83WRD=ccnpOPR=ASRT=SSAT=1 -Original Message- From: Dyland Desmarais [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, November 24, 2000 7:48 PM To: 'Faxon, James' Subject: RE: I just want to make sure we're talking about the same book here. I found the new stuff in our local bookshop in my part of the world. So I would guess it should be available in yours. I does look similar to the v1 but of course with the new stuff. Even the BCSN is now there.
