Cisco 3620 router ports

2000-08-04 Thread Frank Wells

Hey folks,
I have been looking on CCO to get the factory specs of a 3620 router but it
is not very clear what interfaces it ships with. I want to know if they come
with a 10/100 ethernet port right out of the box or are they completely
naked and you need to order every interface etc.

I don't want to call a sales person just to ask this trivial question.

Cheers

The 3620 and 3640 have no fixed interfaces, they are all modular. The 3660
has one or two fixed fast ethernet ports.

Hi Frank,

3620 and 3640 don't have any interfaces built-in. You have to order
everything. 3660 has built-in 10/100 Mbps ethernet.

Hey guys, all you serious Cisco wannabes should register as a Cisco
Consultant or Cisco Reseller. (they're both free! and no exams required !!!)

You then get the product guide (both the book and CD) normally every
quarter.

Turn to the book and:

Cisco 3620

Fixed Ports-None
Network Module Slots - 2
AIM Slots - None(Advanced Integration Module)

Cisco 3640

Fixed Ports-None
Network Module Slots - 4
AIM Slots - None

Cisco 3660

Fixed Ports-1 or 2 10/100 Ethernet (3661 = 1 port, 3662 = 2 ports)
Network Module Slots - 6
AIM Slots - 2
