Cisco 4500 router [7:2378]
Just a quickie? Im looking for a inexpensive alternative to a 2621 that could support ISL trunking. Does the 4500 with 1-FE interface support ISL and router on a stick? Yes, with the right IOS image, an IP+ image should be enough, but check the CCO to be sure. BTW, chances are pretty good you can get a 2620 or 2621 used for less than an used 4500/4700 with a NP-1FE. Using the Feature Navigator (http://www.cisco.com/go/fn) It says that IP Plus on the 4500 supports ISL from 11.3-6 (16/4) to 12.1-7 (32/8) But as John said, an FE for the 4500/4700 is expensive Kevin Wigle - Original Message - From: John Hardman To: Sent: Saturday, 28 April, 2001 13:18 Subject: Re: Cisco 4500 router [7:2378] Yes, with the right IOS image, an IP+ image should be enough, but check the CCO to be sure.
