Frame-Realy Switch [7:3600]

2001-05-08 Thread Jeff Duchin

I had a problem with my circuit (a power outage for a day) and it turned out
that my service provider had to bounce the circuit on their switch (my int
was showing a deleted pvc)... I asked them exactly what that meant but
didn't get a clear answer, other than it was reset.

Anyone know why the switch would kill the pvc with this circuit? My other
circuit came back up no problem.

Thanks in advance,

Jeff

I am not sure what is the problem here but the status 'deleted' means you
router is not getting that particular PVC details (LMI) from the switch and
it used to before. Could be some config change on the switch. I had this
problem before and my provider was able to fix it.

Hi;

There are 3 type of LMI connection state: Active, Inactive, Deleted.

Active:The remote and local circuit to FR Switch are operational,
router between 2 end can exchange data.
Inactive: The local circuit to FR Switch is working, but remote circuit
to FR is not working.
Deleted: No LMI is being received from FR Switch. Or the service
between FR Swithing and CPE ( router) is not available.
