PCMCIA Glash [7:38700]

Please help i have a 16mb PCMCIA Flash card formated for a Catalyst 6000 i
need to run it on a 1603 router how can i reformat it for this device?

Boot your 1603 router...

once its up and running ... remove your 2MB flash (or whatevers in there)

Insert your 16MB card.

do a show flash: or show slot0: (I forget which)

if it says flash inserted into read/write mode... then it will work.
If it says read only mode... you cant use it.

then you do a copy /erase tftp slot0:

you should be able to write to the card WITHOUT having to partition it.  Im 
using a 16MB myself taken from a 7500 series VIP2.

Not knowing the answer I walked back to the lab and formtted a 16M
flash card in a cat6500 SUPII.  plopped it into a 1605 and it recognized
the flash with no added commands.  To verify I successfully downloaded a
new 1600 image onto it, worked.
