Haven't heard anything about the passing mark changing, but if you know the material you won't have to worry about it! As for which book, I would definitely use the Cisco Press book. Each chapter in the book corresponds to each section that is covered on the exam. For this exam, I would not lean on the Sybex guide alone - get the Cisco Press, and if you have time and money left over, get some of the "bible's" as well. Sybex's is best for CCNA only. For CCNP and other, use Cisco Press and you'll be happier. I gained my CCNP by reading Cisco Press, and I 've never failed once. So Cisco Press, Cisco Press and...
