RE: NT or Linux as a TACACS+ or RADIUS Server
I think they are better on the Linux server than the NT server. It is still a project I am trying to work on, but other things have come in the way. RE: NT or Linux as a TACACS+ or RADIUS Server
I have done this with NT. Microsoft has a RADIUS Server that is part of the NT Option Pack and works reasonably well when interfacing with the NT user database. Cisco Secure can be purchased and setup to use with Cisco devices (AS5300 for example) and offers both RADIUS and TACACS services, which will also interface with OS user databses. Good luck! RE: NT or Linux as a TACACS+ or RADIUS Server
I have TACACS+ (the free version from Cisco) running on FreeBSD and it has been flawless. I'm sure it's the same on Linux. I am not sure about Windows NT. It comes with the NT Option Pack called something like "Internet Authentication Service". I think it also comes with Windows 2000 Server by default. Re: NT or Linux as a TACACS+ or RADIUS Server
I have this set up on a Linux box without any problems. I used the Cisco IOS 12.0 Security book as a reference. (It also covers Radius) - Original Message - From: Glenn Flood To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Sent: Tuesday, October 24, 2000 10:17 AM Subject: NT or Linux as a TACACS+ or RADIUS Server All, Is it possible to set up NT or Linux as a TACACS or RADIUS Server?
