RE: corp. restrictions workaround?
Typical layer 8 problem.. The department managers should be discussing this through their regular channels, working on changing policy. Instead they are asking you to "fix" something, hoping you will. Tell me something. If you were to circumvent company policy, were discovered, and fired, would those who involved you care? On the other hand, there may be things you can do to optimize traffic flow, and that in turn might improve internet performance. So you may want to look at this as an exercise in network optimization, rather that an exercise in layer 8 politics. Re: corp. restrictions workaround?
No no , it would all be with the blessing of the Company IT standards, who would continue to apply their stringent standards to the main org, while allowing the sub orgs their own flexibility but With access to the corporate net. (I would imagine common in a company with a research dept.) sorry I did not express this so clearly tayta "Dennis Laganiere" [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote in message C96EA0C60B1DD311809300902778728201164296@fs5_mail">news:C96EA0C60B1DD311809300902778728201164296@fs5_mail...
