Fwd: Re: Foundation 2.0 (640-509)
I would try to help a little, I passed Foundation 2.0 last October, although the exam concentrates BSCN, BCMSN and BCRAN in a single exam you should master every part (the exam has three parts according to each course I mentioned before), so if you pass BCRAN and BSCN parts but fail BCMSN, you cannot get a global passing score, so the final result is FAIL. There are about 155 questions to be answered in about 165 minutes, let's say a minute and few seconds for every question, this becomes the exam in a real challenge, weak points will be detected as the results sheet has plenty of information. I have not taken CCIE Written exam, but some people say both exams are quite similar. Hope this few lines can be useful, Warm regards, Jose Luis De Abreu CCNA, CCDA, CSE, CCNP, CCSI. RE: Foundation 2.0 (640-509)
i thought the in the foundation exam you have to pass all areas in order to pass the exam so if you are for say weaker on BCRAN than switching you would not pass. (assuming 70 % is pass) eg 95 % routing 80 % switching 65 % BCRAN = FAIL 75 % routing 75 % switching 75 % BCRAN = PASS Regards, Jason Baker Network Engineer MCSE, CCNA -Original Message- From: Gareth Hinton [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, January 23, 2001 10:33 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Foundation 2.0 (640-509) Eric I thought about doing the same, and the idea that weaker subjects would be averaged out by stronger ones, was a consideration. I have herd and seen so many diffrent times and question so I called cisco training and asked since the details are not on the web site. I was told 90-120 questions in 2hrs and 15min. I was also told question are weighted meaning easy question receive less points and harder question more points making it near impossable to come up with rules of thumb as to what is a passing score before you take the test in tearms of number of question wright or wrong. You must pass all three section to pass exam. Re: Foundation 2.0
Foundation was available as of August 28th. There isn't an exam outline posted on CCO yet. If you are taking it in the next couple of days and don't know what's on it I suggest you consider rescheduling. This test covers Building Cisco Remote Access Networks, Building Multilayer Switch Networks, and Building Scalable Cisco Networks. All 3 are Cisco Press books that you can buy or courses you can take. The test is 150 questions and they give you 2 1/2 hours. I called Sylvan Friday and talked to them about it as I am scheduled to take it in 2 days. John - Original Message - From: Adegbemi Tolulope V. Please I need to know those of you who have taken this exam. I really need to know if the exam has gone live. I called my testing Centre in Nigeria and they said they have not started testing on the exam. I'll appreciate dropping any information for me.
