Why Can't I Browse the Internet when Using a GRE Tunnel
Hi! Guy... I had happend problems about GRE Tunnel. I constructed VPN GRE Tunnel. At access router, Ping test were success with Web Servers. But User couldn't access Web Server. Example, www.naver.com, www.yahoo.co.kr, www.unitel.co.kr But I red Cisco Document, name as, "Why Can't I Browse the Internet when Using a GRE Tunnel.(http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/105/56.html) ", I failed to get a solution which resolve this problem and I did know accurate meaning of that document. So, if somebody knows solution about this kind of problem, I will so thank you, send me the solution. Is this for a lab environment or a live environment. In a live environment I've ran into several issues with GRE tunnels that shouldn't appear in a lab. One...depending on your link speed you maybe having bandwidth issues because all users behind a gre tunnel are seen as one flow for WFQ which is the default queuing method. Two...you maybe having an issue with mtu and fragmentation with the added overhead of GRE. Please let us know more about the environment that this resides in. Regards, Aaron K. Thanks for your responding... That was a real network. Because I had faild to got particular alternatives, the Users cann't get Internet Service for several Web site. I think the problem maybe having an issue with mtu and fragmentation . So, How about that we approach the problem at that Point ? And more detailed environment is following.
