RE: packet replay?
Not sure of any standards but this is my two cents on this subject. Using any packet sniffer I would filter out the packet I wanted info on and go on a step by step basis of what its doing. Although it can be tedious this is a surefire way of gaining good net analysis experience. Or... You could use ISS Real Secure to filter the packet based on address and replay it directly as well as network flight recorder. (ww.nfr.net) While these are Intrusion Detection System software they still can be used for other things as well. --Original Message-- From: "Yee, Jason" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "cisco@groupstudy. com (E-mail)" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: September 7, 2000 8:59:42 AM GMT Subject: packet replay? hi all, Anyone knows how one can replay a packet after capturing ? Re: packet replay?
Congratulations Jason, I tried to personally email you, but the message came back. Hope this is okay. I read your posting on GroupStudy.com. I just found this newsgroup. You mentioned you passed your Routing 2.0 exam. Is this the 640-503 exam? I took the ACRC on the last day it was offered. I missed it by 3 questions. I strictly used the Sybex book. I guess this was wrong. What book did you use? Any pointers or suggestions would be much appreciated. I'm eager and desperate to pass this exam. Hope to hear from you. ___ UPDATED Posting Guidelines: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/guide.html FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
RE: packet replay?
IMHO, never use just one book for studying. I have taken many certs, and have always used two sources, and tried to do exercises hands on also. I did hear that the old ACRC was harder than the new Routing 2.0 though. (I took all the new 2.0's and a coworker took the old routing one 3 times, and he really knew the stuff) Or did he. :-) Jim Croyle -Original Message- From: Ariel Banzon [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, September 07, 2000 3:14 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: packet replay?
