What do you mean? The giant counter is incrementing or not? We ran into an issue where the MTUs were not equal and this was causing EIGRP to bounce. The router with the higher MTU was running 12.4 and the router with the lower MTU was running 12.2, and this was causing the router on 12.2 to discard the EIGRP packets as giants. If you are running older IOS code the K value mismatch could be the router misinterpreting the goodbye message sent by EIGRP. Hope this helps.
