[cisco-voip] CUCM with Microsoft Azure AD integration

2017-11-10 Thread Ahmed Abd EL-Rahman
Hi Gents,

I have UC cluster version 11.5 having CUCM, CUC, IMP, CCX, AQM.

We need to integrate with the client AD but they have Azure cloud AD which is
not yet officially supported by Cisco.

As a workaround we installed local LDAP on-premises for the client and we are
trying to make it sync with Azure AD to fetch endusers then we can integrated
our servers normally with the on-premises LADP as usual, but the sync is not
going well till no between both AD.

So my question is there anyone managed to integrate UC with Azure cloud AD? Or
else if anyone did sync on-Premises LDAP with Azure cloud AD so that the local
LDAP can fetch all endusers with their credentials from Azure, please help.

[cisco-voip] One way voice

2017-11-10 Thread Hefin James [ahj]
Afternoon everyone, I'm trying the get to the bottom of a one way voice issue
between 2 handsets on the same vlan. It's either a CAM table issue on the
switches between the 2 handsets or the packets are getting dropped inside our
VSS core. I want to be able to rule out both by sending traffic between the 2
handsets so that I can look at the CAM tables to see if the MAC address are
being learnt all along the route between the 2 handsets, and to see if the
problem starts at one side or other of the VSS core. What's the easiest way to
send traffic between the 2 handsets given that both sides are now unmanned. Is
there a way to instigate a ping from one handset to the other as an example?

Thanks,
Hefin

Enable auto-answer on the line of one phone.

The use the webdialer at https://x.x.x.x:8443/webdialer/WebDialer or Jabber
deskphone control to initiate a call to the phone with auto-answer enabled.

You'll need a user with one device added as a controlled device for this to
work.

The other option is 2 Jabber accounts with deskphone control on both phones.

You can also enable SSH on both phones and do things like ping right from
the command-line if you want to do that route. There's not a ton of
documentation around the phone CLI so you'll need to use "?" to figure it
out.

[cisco-voip] CUCM ver 11.5 off hook dial timeout

2017-11-10 Thread James Dust
Dear all,

We have been asked to look into the possibility of changing the amount of time
the system takes to dial an off hook call, after the final digit is dialled on
the phone (we have timed this and it is currently around 8 seconds)

Obviously this is a system wide parameter, but can someone please confirm to me
which exactly?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Brian, didn't think of using Jabber. I'll try the SSH route first
though, as that might be handy for other things.

2017-11-10 Thread Ahmed Abd EL-Rahman
Hi James,

Also it’s better to have a non overlapping numbering plan so that you will not
hit the inter digit time out.

For example, don’t have a user extension 4123 and a MeetMe number 41 in this
case you have to wait for interdigit timeout.

Best practices to avoid any overlapping in your numbering plan.
