So if anyone can get me the documents which explains to a better level or some websites which I can refer to. Download the source rpms and rebuild them to your tastes OR Install the checkinstall software Download the fresh source and create rpms for them on the fly with checkinstall If you dont feel comfortable with doing either of the above, you should not be making custom RPMs. There lies madness and unmaintainability. (consider making a custom RPM containing ONLY your changes to the software if we are talking about config files) Sid -Nigel ___ http://lists.clamav.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/clamav-users

Just install clamav-milter (look at .../clamav-milter/INSTALL - that also gives you hints on linking into SpamAssassin) and you're away. No other software is needed except spamass-milter which is mentioned in the INSTALL documents. > Thanks, > Sid -Nigel -- Nigel Horne. Arranger, Composer, Typesetter. NJH Music, Barnsley, UK. Thanks, Sid Sid, you may want to consider integrating ClamAV and SpamAssassin with Sendmail using MIMEDefang. not only will it integrate nicely with ClamAV and SpamAssassin, it'll give you other options for a more secure environment using Sendmail. if security (and performance) is of primary concern, you may consider using Dovecot as your IMAP server (which integrates nicely with squirrelmail) I can't really give you a how-to to install/configure it all, especially with RPMs as I did most of my install from source / CPAN. you may want to check the MIMEDefang site (www.mimedefang.org) for how-to on installation.
