Suzieq, I can't write this in stone but I think Novartis is still making
way to much money so it will be awhile before they give it up. Such a shame,
it cost more in the U. S. then any other country. They had a store about
them on 60 minutes a few months ago, Greed, but it is saving lives, I'm on
it. Saved my life.

since 2002 he is allowing me to continue with no treatment for another 3
months. My ONC noted that my history of slow growth of my mutated cells
was a unique factor when compared to most CMLers, particularly those in
test groups. Another factor was that my CBCs have never shown white cell
counts that indicated a need for a BMB to due further investigation.

I send my prayers all, but especially those battling new problems.

[CMLHope] Test Results

2014-03-24 Thread Richard H

I received my RT PCR test results today. This test showed 10.577% vs
10.183% in Dec. 2013. We had a great visit about if I were in a formal
test group I would be told I have to take a med. Having worked with me
since 2002 he is allowing me to continue with no treatment for another 3
months. My ONC noted that my history of slow growth of my mutated cells
was a unique factor when compared to most CMLers, particularly those in
test groups. Another factor was that my CBCs have never shown white cell
counts that indicated a need for a BMB to due further investigation.

[CMLHope] Test Results & Coming off of Gleevec

2010-02-15 Thread Suzieq
Latest genetics results showed a drop from 0.002% to 0.001%.Whoo-
hoo! What is the log reduction, Zavie, cause I've never figured
it out. :(

This is after being on Gleevec six years this month..I've only
been "none-detected" twice in all that time, but at least the Gleevec
is keeping the CML at a low level. Doc says I will never be able to
come off of it as long as these low levels show up because the CML
would just come back in full force. So, I take it faithfully each and
every day!

Keep Looking Up People,
Suzieq

[CMLHope] Test Results

2008-08-04 Thread Suzieq

Well after almost a monththey finally sent me my BCR/ABL
results.

Positive: Major breakpoint (0.002%)

I've been a bit emotional all day and when I saw that..didn't help
matters any, to say the least.
I was sure hoping for another "none detected" or "negative" like last
time.
My whole graph line looks like a roller coaster rideup, down, up,
down, up, down since I began. Very discouraging to me but the doctor
doesn't seem to be to concerned as this just looks normal for me since
I began taking Gleevec back in early 2004.I have been in a bit of
a "funk" for the past few days as I've been "sick & tired of being
sick & tired" if you know what I mean. So, I've been having my little
"pity parties" while I'm alone. (smile) Guess we all get there
sometime, huh?

Thanks for listening,
Suzieq
