My CS 30 is the same - no inset for the windows, just flat cabin
sides.  Windows are mounted with the VHB tape which leaves space

Be sure you know your transmission ratio, prop-hull clearance, ideal engine
RPM, etc. before you rely on a simple calculation. This is a question that
seems like it should have a simple answer but "...it depends on several other
parameters.." so a simple answer could be wrong. If the Max-Prop allows, you
might just change the pitch and see if the performance improves.

While motoring in forward gear, run the engine at full throttle. Your
engine should be able to reach maximum, or close to maximum rated rpm. If
not, your pitch is to high. If the engine runs much higher than maximum
rated rpm at full throttle, your pitch is too low.

Your engine manual should have a max achievable RPM listed. If you mash the
throttle and can't get to that RPM, you need to dial in finer pitch.

Hi Munden:

Where do you sail from? I am guessing it is the Armdale Yacht Club.

I replaced all my cabin windows about 8 years ago..had tothey all were
leaking and there was no way to keep the water out other than replace the
windowsI tried everything else and it always eventually failed. At the
time, I didn't know about the 3M tape so I used an adhesive called Sikaflex UV
295 and the Sika primer.it was very effective but more labor intensive than
the tape would be.

I sail out of the RNSYS.if you need any input on this job, don't hesitate to
