My CS 30 is the same - no inset for the windows, just flat cabin sides.  Windows are mounted with the VHB tape which leaves space for the sealant.

Steve,
My 37+ has, pretty much, a surface installation, but with the 0.090" VHB tap and a 3/16" bevel there is plenty of room for the sealant.  My windows are now 2 years old and no signs of leaking or problems of any kind.  They also really look attractive!  See pictures of the project here.

My C&C27 has windows that are glued and screwed directly on the surface of the cabin. There is no cavity, and no visible sealant, and yes they leak. I suspect that they were glued down with Plexus or something similar, but I wish that whoever did it had left out the screws. Anyway,

Has anyone attempted this sort of on-the-surface installation using VHB tape? Seems there would be very little room for sealant. Maybe have to use an exposed fillet?
