Re: Stus-List Access
Hi Liz I just had my 29.1 hauled and used “On and Off” GEL hull cleaner. It is so easy to use. Brush it on and wait for the stain to disappear then rinse it off. Works like a charm. My white hull has no stains now and having just waxed it should stay that way. I highly recommend “On and Off” but make sure you get the Gel. (Yellow label). Good luck Ian Matthew C&C 29 mk 1. “Siento el Viento” San Francisco Bay. Stus-List Access Hatch
I cut an access hatch in the quarter berth, several years ago, to make it easier to get to the oil dipstick and secondary filter. It was especially handy, last week when I had to replace the mixing elbow. Stus-List Access Hatch
I'm thinking about adding an access hatch (perhaps 12" X 24") to the cockpit floor just aft the bridgedeck. Various parts of the engine (A4 with V-drive) are nearly inaccessible. I really hate cutting or drilling holes in my boat and this would be a big one. But, I don't think there would be any structural implications cutting a hole and putting a hatch there. Any experiences, opinions, or warnings? I've read one online comment about a Bomar access hatch not being watertight. Beckson makes them in a couple of sizes and T H Marine claims their "Sure Seal" hatches are watertight. As always, thanks in advance, Bob M Ox 33-1 Jax, FL ___ This List is provided by the C&C Photo Album http://www.cncphotoalbum.com CnC-List@cnc-list.com
