[cobirds] Prothonotary Warbler - El Paso County

2016-09-16 Thread Bill Maynard
COBirders,

A golden swamp warbler was caught and banded at the Bird Conservatory of the
Rockies/Chico Basin Ranch banding station in El Paso County (fee area). It
was captured inside the exclosure in the net lane closest to the large
willow by a small spring.

Also caught was a male Red-naped Sapsucker and a Cassin's Vireo was fussing
in the wooded area. Junco, Song Sparrow, and White-crowned Sparrow numbers
were on the rise. Hermit and Swainson's thrushes were banded.

[cobirds] Prothonotary Warbler - El Paso County 4/25

2012-04-25 Thread Erik Enbody
Hello,

A Prothonotary Warbler was feeding along the creek at the Biedleman Center
this afternoon, to the right just after the first bridge when you come in
(roughly the first big curve to the left that the creek takes). It was
loosely associating with a common yellowthroat and several myrtle warblers.

Best,

Erik Enbody

[cobirds] Prothonotary Warbler -- El Paso County still present 9/20

2009-09-20 Thread Brandon K. Percival
Hi all,

The Prothonotary Warbler that Ken Pals found yesterday, was still at the Hanson
Nature Area, at the same pond as yesterday.  The bird made three appearance
about 3 hours apart, 630am or so, 930am or so, and 1230pm or so.  Several
people were able to see it, and few others missed it.  Thanks to Ken Pals for
reporting this bird, it is always fun to see a Prothonotary Warbler.  I was
able to get quite a few photos of it, which I'll post a few on my flickr site
as soon as possible.  http://www.flickr.com/photos/brandonsbirdphotos/
