I think I found it in, at least it looks correct:
CGFloat gb = [[NSTypesetter sharedSystemTypesetter]
baselineOffsetInLayoutManager:[(NSTextView *)controlView layoutManager]
glyphIndex:charIndex];
NSRect useFrame = cellFrame;
useFrame.origin.y += gb;
