[C2] Flash
Hi all. It'd be possible to manage flash with cocoon2? I've seen that enhydra is developing something in this direction (it seems require the plugin for Flash 5). Dmitry Skavisk, is actually developping a Generator-like servlet. JGenerator 1.2.4 (http://flashgap.com) It's an open development effort (source forge), It's working fine, as well as the Macromedia Generator, It actually exploit data from text files or jdbc connection. But they are trying to implement xml data connection. In my opinion (but I don't know nothing about Java development), JGenerator could be used as a Flash Serializer that produce a binary swf (Flash) file by processing a swt (template) with a xml data file . I am not a unix expert, but I have found that the root user sometimes will have dificulty instantiating an X based program esp. if 'su'd as another user. Consult your X documentation for a valid setting for the DISPLAY environment variable. Also, the bit depth of your Xvfb has serious consequenses with generated graphics. You are in essence limiting your image to the color pallette of your Xvfb environment, and 256 color images don't look as nicely as 16 bit or 24 bit images. The exception to that rule is when you start with a higher bit depth, and select the colors you need (i.e. downsampling to a GIF image). C2 - Dynamically choose XSL-Template in XSP
Hello. This is my problem: With Cocoon 1 I created a XSP-Page, which builds an XML-Stream using the ESQL TagLib from a Database. The Path for the XSL to use was also fetched from the database and applyed using the following statement: xsp:pi target=xml-stylesheet href=esql:get-string column=TemplateURL/ type=text/xsl /xsp:pi Unfortunately this approach does not work with Cocoon2, where the XSL-Transformation is defined in the pipeline-Definition. How is it possible to solve this with Cocoon2? Re: Problems with Xvfb
Did you check to see what your DISPLAY environmental variable is set to, prior to starting tomcat? i.e. echo $DISPLAY If you are starting Xvfb without a wrapper script that sets it for you, you'll probably need to set it with: export DISPLAY=:0 The other thing is that you might need to configure the Xserver to allow the user that you run Tomcat under to connect to the :0 display. Many default configurations only allow the root user to connect to the :0 (default) display If you start tomcat as root, you shouldn't have that problem, which is what you might want to do during the configuration and testing phase. Of course that's a security risk that you probably wouldn't want to take on a production system, ;-) HTH eirik Wesselmann, Marcus wrote: Hi, I've installed Xvfb to get the SVG features. Re: xml page1 calls xml page2
Simone, I think you'll need to be more specific. From what you've described, a simple hyperlink does what you are looking for, e.g. a href =page2.xmlNext/a. -Christopher Please respond to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] cc: Subject: xml page1 calls xml page2 My situation is just a standard case where from a begin page (index.xml) i want to navigate farward an back to other page in my site. They are perverting the Internet to protect their platform. I am thrilled at the prospect of not having to use IE, but I can only use something else if it'll *work* on IE. I think what I'm looking for here is some reassurance. There is no consolation, it's too late. Microsoft is well on its way to sabotage the Internet by ignoring standards. The only thing we can do is stop using their products. Sorry for sounding religious, but with the latest smart tags controversy I am beginning to get very angry at MS. Could you please recommend browser(s) to use, or at least tell us which one you use? Use any browser that supports standards. Mozilla, Konqueror, Opera come to mind. RE: [C2] pooling setup question
I went ahead and reported this as a bug (#2190). It's probably something simple like the Cocoon 1 relatives of this bug (e.g., make sure you change the right cocoon.properties file). Karl Hallowell [EMAIL PROTECTED] -Original Message- From: Gary Clark [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] I did, but that may be the problem. It seems to be an issue with Avalon/Excalibur, but I don't know enough to even get started with them. This is another good place in C2 for some extra documentation (hint, hint ;-). - Please check that your question has not already been answered in the FAQ before posting. http://xml.apache.org/cocoon/faqs.html To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Well don't know why you have no header in your table. So just check that the XSLT creates the right FO. This url: describes how to do tables in FO.http://www.zvon.org/xxl/xslfoReference/Standard/slice6.html#section-N14029-Formatting-Objects-for-Tables Try also this:http://www.zvon.org/xxl/xslfoReference/Output/index.html Both links is from http://zvon.org PS: Why am I receiving the same mail more than ones? Why are you sending it on both cocoon-dev and cocoon-dev-help? (cocoon-dev should be the right place).
