[Coder-Com] ircu2.10 compilation problem.

2001-08-22 Thread WebMaster
Title: Message

I downloaded ircu2.10 from http://serverwatch.internet.com/index.html and
after the usual configure process I typed gmake and the compilation started then
failed. I typed gmake again to regenerate the errors for your
attention.

Please let me know what am doing wrong? Thanks
you.

[Coder-Com] OK I am slow...

2001-09-04 Thread Webmaster

I am really new to this whole concept of IRC but I want to (and have) set
up a small chat server with it. I would like to set up a way so that when
I personally log in to the chat that I can be an OP where ever I go. I
really did try to read the instructions but I think I am in over my head
and I may have to do some things the one step at a time method. Can
someone please explain to me the dummy's guide method of setting this up?

Thanks,
David

[Coder-Com] Connection Time Out

2002-09-08 Thread webmaster

I have set up ircu2.10.10.pl18 on my server. I went through the process in
the INSTALL file and ran the process. When I scan the port that I set ircd
on I do get a response. However when I try to connect to the server (via
mIRC) I get a Connection Time Out error. I am sure this is a case of a DFU
error. Can someone please tell me what to do to fix this?

Thanks,
David

[Coder-com] Help With Conf File....

2006-06-06 Thread Webmaster
I am having a problem getting my server up and running. I think the
entire process of getting the code compiled etc went just fine. I
saw no error messages along the way and it appears everything is in
the appropriate place. I am starting ircd with the -f flag to use a
specific config file (./ircd -f /home/foo/bar/curly.conf). At the
command line I get no error but ircd does not start and a log file
(ircd.log) is created with the following line only.

[2006-6-7 1:45:48] SYSTEM [CRIT]: Failed to read configuration file
/home/foo/bar/curly.conf

Can someone please tell me what stupid thing it is that I am doing
that causes this? I am sure its a typical DFU thing and I will feel
like a total idiot once it is pointed out to me.

Thanks,
Head Freak

Re: [Coder-com] Help With Conf File....

2006-06-06 Thread Webmaster
Well I got this part figured out. Thanks to someone smacking me in
the head with a brick and remind me of the command line params
available, I was able to debug the conf file. Now that is working
just fine and the process shows as being live but I cannot connect to
the server. ARGH! I get an unable to resolve server when I try to
connect via mIRC. I shut down my firewall to test to see if that was
an issue but no help. I can connect to other IRC servers using the
same ports just fine. Any ideas what it is that I have set wrong?

Thanks,
Head Freak

[Coder-Com] CService site bug report

2001-07-20 Thread WebSurf.ro Webmaster

Please forward this
message to the CService site coding team, thank you!

Hello,

Just noticed that
you added back some of the Live details. One minor correction: the link to my
web site appears as http://cservice.undernet.org/live/www.websurf.ro/personal , probably because of a
forgotten http:// in front to make it absolute reference. Also, in channel
information page, the banlist appears with a font size larger than the rest of
the site (IE 5.01 here). Everything else looks great, looking forward to find
the edit functions too! Great job, guys :) I just love
Undernet!

Best
regards,
