[Compiz] [Bug 741474] Re: Compiz doesn't appear to respect GNOME's mouse theme setting.

2011-04-02 Thread zeruke
you can also see this with using unity and the only way(by what i'v
seen) around it right now is by going through what is shown at
http://www.webupd8.org/2010/08/how-to-change-mouse-cursor-theme-in.html

this can become very annoying at times so it would be good if a fix can
be done so not to have to go through those steps

[Compiz] [Bug 731559] Re: Window content disappears leaving just a white area after enlarging window

2011-04-02 Thread zeruke
hmmm this seems sorta like my problem but its mostly on a secondary
screen and only happens when compiz is enabled which i have made a bug
report( https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/739103 )
so someone should help to check to see if its the same problem or two
different ones with the same symptom

[Compiz] [Bug 739103] Re: window appears white when resized at times on a secondary screen sometimes primary

2011-03-31 Thread zeruke
it really seems like compiz is the problem.the only one i had it
enabled in what the unity desktop and after enabling it in the other
environments the same thing happen with or without the dock..i have
tried it in unity, unity2D, the classic gnome, xfce, and kdeall of
them showed the same results

i could add the snapshots but theres no point when they all show the
same thing the first one did which the secondary screen getting a white
overlay when somethings resized to a point which is usually random.

also i have all of the updates in natty

[Compiz] [Bug 690002] [NEW] desktop cube does not work anymore on natty if wanting to use unity

2010-12-13 Thread zeruke
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: compiz

with the newest update for natty its where unity depends on desktop wall
which provides largedesktop and desktop cube also provides it so that
both can not be enabled at the same time

an easy way to fix that to me is to take out the largedesktop out of the
desktop cube and make desktop cube depend on desktop wall if
largedesktop is really needed by desktop cube

[Compiz] [Bug 682986] Re: borders and panels disappears whenever appearance is changed

2010-12-01 Thread zeruke
this morning i decided to reinstall using the latest daily build and now
the only time the borders and panel disappear is if i enable or disable
something within compiz and the only types of errors of compiz in the
log file viewer is things like

"Dec 1 12:43:07 localhost kernel: [ 459.653023] compiz[1701]: segfault
at 7c ip 0035af8d sp bfd67c80 error 4 in
libsigc-2.0.so.0.0.0[359000+5000]"

so by the looks of it its the libsigc thats the problem now

[Compiz] [Bug 682986] Re: borders and panels disappears whenever appearance is changed

2010-11-30 Thread zeruke
it seems that its actually the unity plugin for compiz that is causing
the problems because when the plugin is disabled the borders don't
disappears...only thing is that after disableing the unity plugin compiz
has to restart with compiz --replace so that effects can still be
usedalso the unity shell of course disappears with the plugin
disabled
